— Our story
Nineteen years,
five deliberate turns.
An agency is not told through slogans but through decisions. Here are the five that shaped ours, year after year.
2007 — Three people, one room, one first client
The 212 Communication adventure began in Marrakech as a design studio: logos, brochures, posters. Clients were restaurant owners in Guéliz, guesthouses in the Medina, a few firms. We listened, we delivered on time, and word of mouth did the rest. First lesson learned: reliability beats noise.
2012 — The web and social turn
Clients no longer wanted just an image: they wanted an audience. We hired our first in-house developers and community managers and stopped outsourcing the technical side. That costly choice underpins everything since: what we design, we can also build and run.
2016 — Europe knocks on the door
A Belgian client trusted 212 Communication with one project, then two, then asked for a dedicated team. Outsourcing became a business line of its own, contractually structured, with intellectual property and GDPR guarantees. It now accounts for nearly a third of our activity and has a page of its own: our digital offshoring offer in Marrakech.
2020 — Proof through data
The pandemic cut budgets and raised a new demand: prove it. We instrumented everything — traffic, cost per acquisition, conversion rate, return on ad spend — and monthly reporting became a deliverable like any other. That culture of numbers now runs through our digital marketing and SEO practice and the rest of the house.
2023 — Artificial intelligence goes into production
While the market was commenting, we were shipping: conversational assistants, automated prospecting, internal workflows, predictive analysis. Our AI practice was born from a refusal of the free demo — every project starts from a measurable use case. It now lives in our AI, data and automation practice, the youngest of the four.
